Weird guess - Madonna?

I'd say Madonna aswell :P

I really like this one!
Just some points though ^^;
Could've shaded the picture a bit more, but I guess that also depends on the reference picture ;)
Also the black outline of the eye/iris could've been done a bit smoother so it wouldn't be so hard (if you know what I mean)

You're going to achieve a lot, I just know it. Just take your time and practice all you can ^^ (and that coming from my mouth XD )

I think my shading problem is in part myy scanner and part me. My drawings always look darker on my table than what they do after I've scanned them. I've tried adjusting the scanner some, but it's a cheap one and it doesn't have a lot adjusting abilities to it, so I'm not sure how to do that, other than snap a photo, with my camera, of my drawing and put it in that way. The digital camera picks up better than the scanner... that's what I did with my Two Faces of Davy Jones picture and the shading was more pronounced on that one.... that may be the only solution to that problem... LOL.

I'm still fighting with eyes...LOL. I want to make them realistic, but obviously need a lot of practice. I'm really just learning portrature and really do appreciate the suggestions and critiques!!! Thank you!!!

And yes, it's Madonna from a screen shot of her La Isla Bonita video.... screen shots suck to draw from, but sometimes I can't always find the photo of an awesome screen shot that I want to draw.... Like happened to Davy Jones's non-squid face in my above mentioned drawing.... LOL.

Thanks again for your help, I do appreciate it... come back and critique anytime.. :D

oich.. the pain of scanners XD Have the same problem here. That's why I love using charcoal really ^^;
Using a digital camera is something I also do lately XD It does pick up the darkness a lot better, but some of the detail can get lost by doing so, which disturbs me aswell (what can I say? I'm never satisfied *giggles* )

and you don't need A LOT of practice with the eyes, it is just that one little thing, other then that they are really great! ^^

Finding photo references can be hard indeed ;) If something is fuzzy or anything like that, just use your imagination, it doesn't have to be 100% exactly like the reference ^^ For example, I'm working on this drawing of Stapic for her contest here on DA, but the reference picture has a black background, which makes her hair blend in. So I'm just drawing how I think her hair looks in those parts ^^;

Anyway, like I already said, you're doing great!
